What Does Past Life Regression and Therapy involve?

Past Life Regression is a process involving the retrieval of memories and experiences from ‘past lives’. It is a gentle procedure where client and therapist journey together to uncover root causes of relationship, health and ‘life’ issues and attempt to effect resolution and understanding.

It is also a method of exploring past lives in order to observe patterns of behaviour and events, thus shedding light on current concerns.

A typical session lasts from 1 ½ to 2 hours and you will be eased into an ‘altered state’ of consciousness through a combination of techniques including deep relaxation, guided imagery, light hypnosis and yogic breathing.

Depending on your aims you will first be directed to generally happy or productive lives, only touching on traumatic experiences for therapeutic purposes, if required.

It is worth noting that the majority of lives in human history have been necessarily mundane, so be prepared for some commonplace lives as well as the possibly more interesting ones.

Also if you have come for therapy it may sometimes be necessary to re-experience traumatic events as a necessary precondition to a cure taking place.

The therapeutic techniques include the release of suppressed emotions, (abreaction), the release of somatic, (physical) imprints, the ‘reframing’ of  events to give them new meaning, the use of self-hypnosis, use of affirmations, reparenting, future orientation, and psychodrama.

Afterwards you will be given time to assimilate your experiences and discuss them with your therapist. Recordings can be made if requested.

Finally, it is also possible to view events in the ‘between-life’ state where goals are set for the coming life, i.e. this one! Also future lives may be accessed.
